About The Event

There is a public hearing planned for Tuesday July 30th at 4:30 pm (Room 317 of Minneapolis City Hall 350 South Fifth Street) for the city's Heritage Preservation Committee to consider designating an area in Lynhurst/East Harriet as a Historic District. This was motivated by recent plans to demolish a property at 4632 Emerson Ave South. Please attend and weigh in on if this area should be protected from demo by the Historic District designation. If you can't make the meeting, please call or email CM Palmisano with thoughts:

This is an important precedent, and many residents do not want to see the notable architecture of this area destroyed now or in the future.
