Mayor Frey will deliver his budget address, outlining his funding priorities for 2020, this coming Thursday, Aug. 15 at 11 a.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall. You can also livestream the address on City Council TV. The mayor’s speech will kick off efforts in the coming months to build and refine a budget that "reflects our values and addresses our needs". The City Council will weigh in on the budget and take public comment before ultimately approving a budget in December. Mayor Frey’s address next week marks the official beginning of this process, and we need to stay engaged between now and the end of the year.
Special note from VoxMN: This is the time to pay close attention and make sure our voices are heard. We know there are increased taxes planned and the City needs to be held accountable.
