Affordable Housing again under threat

Is the City of Minneapolis and the Minneapolis Public Housing Authority (MPHA) really going toss some of the most vulnerable, most in need, the most overlooked people in the city ~ are they really going to get booted out of their homes?

That appears to be what is happening with the Elliot Twins ~ as the towers are known at the intersection of 31st st & Blaisdell S.

All part of a Federal Housing and Urban Development (HUD) scheme cooked up by brain surgeon Ben (is he awake?) Carson head of HUD~ because nothing says I'm qualified to run the largest housing program for the poor than ~ being a brain surgeon (and making large donations to the Trump campaign ) and our potus admin of Trump!

Two individuals who consistently demonstrate a disdain for the poor ~ while speaking platitudes out the other side of their mouths.

Reason enough right there to be concerned about how the RAD program ACTUALLY works vs how it was written ~ so we all relax and believe in the " tax credits" for the rich and improved housing for the poor.

Sounds nice, right?

Well, the first troubling sign ~ letting go of staff ~ "right sizing" HUD which removed layers of over sight and pesky tenants rights adjudicators. No one was around to make sure the "pilot" program ran as intended .
