Alatus, along with CA-Ventures, a Chicago based developer, has proposed a 27 story 356 unit mixed-use building at 200 Central Ave SE, the location of the demolished Saint Anthony Commercial Club building, and within the Saint Anthony Falls Historic District. They’ve submitted an amended HPC Certificate of Appropriateness application to CPED, and will likely be presenting to the Marcy Holmes Neighborhood Association Land Use and Development Committee on January 7th.

As for immediate action, please attend the MHNA Land Use committee meeting on January 7th 2020, 6:30pm at University Lutheran Church of Hope, 601 13th Ave SE. You may want to subscribe for future MHNA newsletters and announcements. As far as we know there have been no public hearings scheduled. You can also subscribe to receive Minneapolis CPED and HPC agendas and meeting minutes.
In short, please get involved now, and make sure that your council member and neighborhood representatives know that you care about the Saint Anthony Falls Historic District, and how you feel about this proposal.
